3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch School Fundraiser – Inspiring the Community to Help Local Schools

A fun, community-building initiative that connects residents, schools and community partners to support local schools from 3 school boards.

Let’s Get Together! in partnership with Emiliano and Ana No Frills is hosting the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch School Fundraiser from Thursday, October 18th thru to Sunday, October 28th, 2018.  For all the pumpkins sold during the 10 days, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to 6 participating schools in the neighbourhood.

The community is also invited to start their Halloween celebration at the Pumpkin Patch Party on Sunday, October 28th.  The party will be held at Emiliano and Ana’s No Frills, 245 Dixon Rd (Islington Ave. and Dixon Rd.) from 11am – 1pm.  Prizes will be awarded for best costume, best howl, best make up, best scary laugh and more. Hot dogs and drink combo will be available for $1. Let’s Get Together’s Junior Balloon Twisters, youth between ages of 10 – 12 years, will also be on hand to twist some unique Halloween creations.  All proceeds from food sales will be donated to the schools.

“We are thrilled to be able to help our schools”, said Emiliano and Ana Hernandez, No Frills Owners.  “We appreciate our community and want to be involved however we can. The Pumpkin Patch Party is an event we look forward to because it brings families in our community together.”

“Schools, now more than ever, need our support,” said Alison Canning, Executive Director at Let’s Get Together.  “Education is key to building a healthy community.  We need to work together to ensure our educators and families have the resources they need to educate our children. This event is a fun and creative way to involve the community while helping our schools.”
